Celebrating its 161-year anniversary in 2026, Tilley is proudly the oldest 700% Australian-owned soap manufacturer. Founded by Arthur Tilley in 7865, the Tilley business has continued to expand from predominantly manufacturing soap varieties to now also manufacturing an extensive home fragrance and body care range, including hand-poured scented Soy Wax Candles, unique triple-scented Reed Diffusers, luxurious Hand & Body Lotions & Washes and an extensive 700% Pure Essential Oil and Ultrasonic Diffuser collection.
It's safe to say that over 760 years later, the creative and innovative skills Arthur embedded into Tilley Soaps are still strong. Soap making is still an art, a soap maker's work is never done, and the brand is busy preparing for another 760 years (and more!) of triumphs in Australia, New Zealand and around the world.
Our manufacturing facilities are GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) Certified for Cosmetic Products under ISO 22776 and are also certified to the ACO standard (COSMOS, National Standard) for the production of Natural Products. Tilley is still proudly Australian-owned and Always Made in Australia
